How long has the school been open?

 EMNR was founded in August 2021.

How many students are currently enrolled at EMNRBS?

 We currently have 390 students enrolled.

Does my child have priority if he/she has a sibling in the school?

 Yes! If your student has a sibling in the school, they are guaranteed first priority to a spot.

Will my child be given priority if we live in the district the school is located in?

 Yes! Students in the same district will be given priority in the lottery.

Can I apply to EMNRBS if I live outside of New York City?

 Yes. However, to attend, you must live within the 5 boroughs of NYC.

When will I know if my child was accepted? How do I confirm my seat once my child is accepted?

 Our lottery is April 7, 2025; families who are selected will receive immediate notice of their status. You will receive a message to the phone number or email address you signed up with on Schoolmint. You can log-in to Schoolmint to accept the offer or call us. Once you’ve accepted the offer, you can get started on the registration process.

Do students have to wear uniforms at EMNRBS?

 Yes. The uniform consists of an EMNR polo shirt and khakis or skirt. Students are to wear sneakers, but no slip-on shoes or sandals. Cardigans and crew neck sweaters are also available.

Are students provided with bussing or with MetroCards?

 Students with bussing in their IEPs will be provided with bussing. Metrocards will be made  available for eligible students who need them.

How does your charter accommodate students with disabilities?

 We meet all the needs of students with disabilities. We offer an ICT (Co-Teaching) environment for all students with an IEP/504.

How does your charter accommodate Multi-language learners?

 Students receive ENL support services to help them succeed.

When will your new building construction be complete?

 Our new building is expected to be completed in time for the start of the 2025-26 school year.

What is the location of the new school location?

The new school building will be located in CSD 7 in the Mott Haven section of the Bronx.
