Brandon Corley
Executive Director
Brandon Corley was born and raised in Chicago and represents the Englewood community of Chicago’s Southside with great pride. He comes to Earl Monroe as the Co-Founder and former Academic Director for South Bronx Community Charter High School. Brandon was a high school mathematics teacher for many years before becoming a school leader, working in Chicago, Philadelphia, and New York City. Brandon has worked with the Children’s Defense Fund Freedom Schools® program since 2004 in various capacities. His role as founder and Project Director of sites in Chicago, Milwaukee, New Orleans, and Mt Vernon, NY, his time as a national trainer, and his work planning regular youth mobilizations, conferences and events has earned him recognition amongst his peers. He is a graduate of Chicago State University with a BS in Mathematics/Secondary Education and earned a MS in Educational Leadership from Baruch College. Brandon is married to his best friend, Aja, and they have two children together.
Susan Fraleigh
Executive Director
Susan Fraleigh is an accomplished educational leader with over 29 years of dedicated service in NYC high schools. She holds a MSEd in School Building Leadership from St. John's University and a MA in School Counseling from Manhattan College. Throughout her career, Susan has worked in multiple districts in the Bronx where she has been instrumental in driving academic excellence and fostering a supportive and inclusive school environment.
Susan's leadership is characterized by her commitment to student success, innovative curriculum development, and collaborative community engagement. She is passionate about empowering students and staff to reach their full potential and is dedicated to creating safe and nurturing learning spaces for all.
